Bolata Beach

Bolata Beach is located in the Bolata bay in the northern part of the Bulgarian Black Sea coast near the village of Bulgarevo, and is part of the Kaliakra Reserve. This beach is a quite unique little cove with a near-perfect semi-circle of sand, and it is one of the very few beaches in the area.
The European Best Destinations site ranked the Bulgarian beach Bolata among the best holiday destinations in Europe.
Shabla

Shabla is a and seaside town and resort located in northeastern Bulgaria, Black Sea side, and part of Dobrich Province. Just 5 km from the town there is Shabla has an extensive white sand beach. Nearby are the salt-water Lake Shabla and Bulgaria’s easternmost point, Cape Shabla.
Sinemorets Veleka Beach

Sinemorets Veleka Beach is located near the Sinemorets village and seaside resort translated as “place on the blue sea” on the Black Sea coast of Bulgaria, where the river Veleka flows into the sea.
Sinemorets is part of Tsarevo Municipality, Burgas Province, and it is located in the very southeast of Bulgaria close to the border with Turkey.
Old Plovdiv

Plovdiv is situated in south-central Bulgaria crossing by the Maritsa River. It is the second-largest city in Bulgaria, located in the historical region of Thrace. The city has a long history dating back to the 6th millennium BCE. In 2019, Plovdiv was selected as the Bulgarian host of the European Capital of Culture.
Rhodope Mountains

The Rhodope Mountains are a mountain range in Southeastern Europe, with over 83% or over 14,735 square kilometers of its area in southern Bulgaria and the remainder in Greece. The Rhodopes are part of the Rila-Rhodope massif with fifteen reserves in the region, including some of which are under UNESCO protection.
Traditional Bulgarian architecture from the 18th and 19th centuries, a rich cultural heritage including ancient Thracian sites such as Perperikon, Tatul and Belintash, characterize the rich history of the Rhodopes.

The Rila Monastery was founded in the 10th century by the hermit St. Ivan of Rila, during the rule of Tsar Peter I (927-968) and is a must-visit tourist attraction in Bulgaria. The Monastery is one of Bulgaria’s most important historical, cultural, and architectural monuments.
Sofia

Sofia is the capital and largest city of Bulgaria, situated at the foot of Vitosha mountain. The city has many mineral springs with the most popular being the Sofia Central Mineral Baths. The city has a long history of human habitation dating back to at least 7000 BC.
Sofia was Europe’s most affordable capital to visit in 2013 and it has been named one of the top ten best places for start-up businesses in the world, especially in information technologies.
Zlatograd

Zlatograd is located in Southern-central Bulgaria in a valley formed between the eastern and central massif of the Rhodope mountains. In the center of the town with a population of over 7000, you’ll find the open-air museum Zlatograd Ethnographic Areal Complex with an ethnographic museum, workshops and an exhibition of water equipment.

Ivan Vazov National Theatre, Sofia

The Ivan Vazov National Theatre is the oldest and Bulgaria’s national theatre, located in the center of the capital city of Bulgaria, Sofia. The theater was opened on 3 January 1907 and is named after the prominent writer Ivan Vazov.
Balkan Mountains

Balkan Mountains or also called Stara Planina are a mountain range that runs 557 km from the Vrashka Chuka Peak on the Bulgarian-Serbian border eastward through central Bulgaria reaching Cape Emine on the Black Sea. This is where the name of the peninsular came from – Balkan Peninsula.
Fotinski Waterfall

Fotinski Waterfall is located in the Western part of the Rhodope Mountains just 4km from the village Fotinovo. The waterfall is a picturesque water cascade located at an altitude of 880 meters above sea level with a total height of about 30 m. It consists of three falls with the highest – 16 – 18 m.
Lakatnik Rocks

Lakatnik rocks are located near a small village Lakatnik in Svoge Municipality. The village is near the train station on the train line Sofia – Mezdra. The Lakatnik cliffs is a place where climbers test their skills and it offers an astonishing view of the village.
Belogradchik Rocks

The Belogradchik Rocks Photos of Bulgaria are one of the most popular on Instagram. Also called Belogradchishki skali are located on the western slopes of the Balkan Mountains and are a popular tourist destination, and are a group of strangely shaped sandstone and conglomerate rock formations.
The rocks vary in height and color and can reach up to 200 m in height with primarily red to yellow colors.
Apriltsi

This small town Apriltsi is located in the vicinity of the highest part of Stara Planina mountain, in Lovech Province, Central-North Bulgaria. Apriltsi is a developing tourist resort in the region due to its location at the valley of Botev Peak in the Balkan Mountains, and close to other peaks in the area such as Maragidik and Triglav.
